2020 Run For Education Virtual Run/Walk

The SCSEF MAD Dash 5K has been postponed to November 21st, but you can still have fun, get active,
and help our schools! Students, parents, staff, Grow Strong teams, family and friends -
WE NEED YOUR HELP!Our virtual race takes place from
April 24 - May 3 and is a
1 Mile or 5K (3.1 mile) run or walk that you can do on your own outdoors or inside on a treadmill.
The best part is 100% of the registration fees will go to the Surry County Schools Educational Foundation to help us provide enhanced learning opportunities for our teachers and students.
We know funds are tight for many right now, so we have set our registration fees at a very low price of just $10 for either race to make it affordable and encourage family participation.
Registration Fees:-- Virtual 1 Mile $10.00

Virtual 5K (3.1 miles) $10.00
*An online processing fee will be added to the order at checkout.
How does it work?
There are 3 Easy Steps:
Register for either the 5K or 1 Mile between April 24 - May 3. During registration you will choose a school TEAM to support. Surry County Schools Grow Strong team members should select your school's Grow Strong Team Name. You don't have to be part of Surry County Schools to participate - you can create your own team or run individually.
Get the Swag! When you register, you'll have the option to purchase Stay Strong race swag for just $15 (2X and 3X are slightly more), including a race shirt, a commemorative race bib, and a rubber bracelet.

Step 2: Run or Walkthe distance you registered for any time between April 20 - May 3. You may run or walk outdoors or on a treadmill.
Step 3: Submit your Time
- Use the free "IYR Virtual" mobile app (available for iOS) which will track your run, notify you when you have completed your distance, and automatically upload your time into the race results.
-OR-
- You can also time your run on your own (with a watch, GPS or an app like MapMyRun or Strava) and then manually enter your time in the race results. Using the IYR Virtual app just makes the process EASY!
There are no competitive awards for this virtual run/walk, this is a fun activity to support Surry County Schools Educational Foundation.
- Download the free IYR Virtual app for iOS (Android coming soon) from the App Store and either create a new Its Your Race account or login with your existing Its Your Race account, if you have one. The user login email address must match the email address used when registering for the event to connect you to the race.
- Once you have located the 2020 Run for Education event, click the 'Tracker' menu when you are ready to run or walk.
Now just run or walk! The app will notify you when you have completed your race distance and then automatically upload your time into the online race results.
If you prefer not to use the easy IYR Virtual app you can time your race and enter your results manually.
Entering Results Manually:
1.
CLICK HERE to go to the
2020 Run for Education results page, then select the results for your distance (1 mile or 5K). The ItsYourRace results page for your distance will appear.
2. Find your name in the results for your distance. With your name you will see an "
Update Time" button. Click "UpdateTime".
3. If you are not currently logged into ItsYourRace, a login window will appear.
Log in using your ItsYourRace user id (probably your email address) and password. Can't remember? Click "Forgot Your Password" to reset.
4.
Enter your time and click the "Save Your Time" button.
